Dream House Architecture
Once the second graders completed their blueprints, they set to work building 3d models of their dream homes. The homes reflect not only the specificities of each students dream house but also how an idea can evolve and change during the process of building.
My LA Starry Night
The second graders studied Van Gogh's Starry Night painting and recreated an impressionist painting from their local inspiration.
The Art of Puppets
In collaboration with our school puppeteer, Chase Wolner second graders design and construct handmade puppets. Through these lessons, students are practicing and advancing their art skills in sketching character development, building and painting.
