The Scream

The second grade studied Norwegian Expressionism, Edvard Munch, and his famous painting- the Scream. After understanding Munch's state of mind and painting's context, students recreated paintings that show what would make them scream as Munch did!

How does an architect create a three-dimensional structure from drawings? The second grade investigated this question as they envisioned their future dwellings and composed blueprints for their dream houses.

Once the second graders completed their blueprints, they set to work building 3d models of their dream homes. The homes reflect not only the specificities of each students dream house but also how an idea can evolve and change during the process of building.
