Chiaozza Plaster Plants
The first graders created whimsical fauna inspired by the artist duo: Chiaozza (Adam Frezza & Terri Chiao). The students first sculpted wire armatures then built up the forms with foil and finally, plaster. Once the students completed their plaster process, they painted them with vibrant colors that contrasted the organic forms they mimicked.
Collage Self-Portraits
The first grade assembled unique self-portraits from colored pieces of paper. These pictures document each student's growth as both student and artist upon their return to school.
